Orienteering 1:03:00 [3] 4.2 km (15:00 / km)

Psalm Singing Gully. Ian offered to drive me up from Melb so l accepted the offer. I really liked this area as it was so messy and degraded (!!).
I lost time on #3 when a small branch caught on an earring and knocked it out, and l spent several minutes searching fruitlessly. For around 10 years until Saturday l had two identical pairs of these gold stud earrings- but l noticed one missing in the morning before leaving for the orienteering, then lost another on the course. I still have one pair though. Maybe it’s time for some new jewellery.
Back to the course, l then ventured across a large section of green, which was a bad mistake and lost around 10 minutes. All went well until the last few controls where l became a bit careless and went off my bearing. A lovely day overall.

Benalla lake . Beautiful day after a chilly night and there were quite a few neighbours and acquaintances out walking.

Walk around Benalla lake. Walking uses different muscles than running and l think it is good to alternate.
