Note

Vic Long Distance MTBO. Gave it a miss after learning it was the same location as the middle, only longer, and asking the course setter if he had ridden it (to which the answer was No). Came home to wash the muddy bloody clothes instead.

MTBO 1:20:00 [3] 10.0 km (8:00 / km)

VIC Middle Distance champs at Nerrina. Nerrina is hard enough on foot, and was positively horrible on a bike in wet conditions. DNFd after my chain came off after getting caught on a metal post climbing into an erosion gully, didn't go back on properly and the pedals wouldnt turn any more ( and gouged the paint on my new bike), falling off and gouging my shin on the pedals (blood!), and just not having the technical ability to ride the steep wet singletracks, which you couldn't avoid. Swore l would never do MTBO again.

Vic Sprint Championships. Bill kindly fixed my bike and l reluctantly went off for another go. Nice rideable course around the Yarrowee Flats area.Third out of four W60.

Benalla lake. Lots of encouragement from passers-by today. Hips and piriformis still tight.
