12 PM

Orienteering race 1:19:45 [4] **** 13.52 km (5:54 / km)
spiked:20/27c (injured)

Connacht champs at Portumna forest, nice but unchallenging forest - no climb and no real technical test. A bit too much trailrunning meant i suffered with lack of speed.
Ran the M21 long
lost some time on the first few controls and also some of the longer legs.
But overall happy with my form especially as i did not tire towards the end.
Back was ok and did no further damage to the ankle.

Night training at Castlewellan - I planned so knew all the control sites (Jack put them out during the day) went for a jog round to test the back (strained at work yesterday) and ankle (twisted on Saturday)

I can jog but not sure about a hard run.

Collecting controls after training - I got numbers 5 - 10 which were the furthest away.

Nice calm night but a hard frost.
