downhill skiing 2:00:00 [2]
(sick)

Woke up with a sore throat, probably got Mike's cold. Early start to make it to the slopes and beat some of the crowds. We chose to go to Sugarbush again. Getting there right after 9am wasn't early enough. With this being a Holiday weekend, much more people than last weekend.

We did one run at North Lynx Peak and then we took the transfer lift over to Mt Ellen which was less crowded and had some nice trails. There was a thick layer of powder but with all the people it was quickly pushed off, exposing lots of icy spots.

The rental place didn't have much left so I had to settle for some shorter skis. A combination of the conditions, not feeling a 100% and equipment made it less enjoyable this weekend but I still got some nice runs in. And we ended the day back at Lincoln Peak, did a few runs on my favorite combo Lower Jester & Lower Downspout.

Great weekend & great company celebrated at the "after ski" where we were introduced to an awesome beer: Fiddlehead IPA

xc skiing 1:40:15 [2] 12.25 km (8:11 / km) +307m 7:16 / km

Another weekend in wonderful Vermont! This time with Jesse & Katy staying in Katy's aunt & uncle's farm house in Underhill.

After a nice slow morning with yummy breakfast we decided to go xc skiing. We were very happy to go back to Trapp Family Lodge. It was J & K's first time xc skiing and they did so good, we stayed in a group and had a lot of fun.

I requested the narrower model of skis, had some wide ones last weekend. The snow was stickier so I found it easier to climb. Had a few pinches in my lower back but it was mostly fine.

We tried parts of the race loop, it wasn't groomed but it was nice cause there was no people and we saw some guys drilling for maple syrup.

Then some well deserved beer and lunch at the Trapp bakery/brewery.

zumba 1:00:00 [3]

Not sure that was good, a lot of moves kinda hurt in the tailbone area. Probably should have done it with less intensity. But overall it's feeling better.

dance 1:00:00 [2]

Another 1.5 hr salsa class at Alisa's House of Salsa! No guys this time either, so more work on styling, we did a choreography. And less time standing still tonight, as we kept doing the choreography while Alisa lead each one of us in a few turns.
Salsa moves felt fine for my lower back, it's up and down that hurts, so I will hold off from running a few days.. skiing this weekend might not work =(

Every Thursday night it's salsa at Kudeta, New Haven and next week they'll have a live band!

yoga 1:00:00 [1]

Sore! Groin muscles, quads and my poor tail bone especially. Hopefully yoga will help.
