Sunday long one on the street towards Dundrum this time. Feeling a bit on the tired side before I started which wasn't ideal but was grand once I got going. It was cold when I started but then the sun came out after 30ish minutes and I got way too warm. Lovely day though. Some great cherry blossoms out. Struggled a bit towards the end and I ended up being glad of the project keeping me running around this one estate for a bit longer than I really felt like to get up to the 2 hours.

Making progress, maybe another 2 weeks left depending on how focused and efficient I am.

Got busy with other things and didn't have time to do any work turning it into a web app or anything.

Max HR test, 2x3 mins max effort with 2-3 recovery between
Plan was to use the little loop in the park but it was just too busy so ran in the neighbouring housing estate, after running all the roads obviously. Drills and strides beforehand felt really good, first time I've felt springy in a while.
Someone shouted my name during the first effort I tried to wave but the timing wasn't ideal. Jogged to try find them in the recovery but no success. Second effort was pretty hard going which is the point I guess. Felt like there was maybe a little more there with a better sleep but pretty close to max I reckon.
Cool down home via some other estate. Bit of a struggle at first, throat felt awful, really wanted a good cough but felt bad with all the people around

Easy one over to run around some westerly housing estates. They're quite weird things really when you think about it, most with only a single entrance and many with big fences or walls meaning there's no shortcuts in or out, except if you wanted to it'd be super easy to get in without anyone seeing you so it seems pointless... One today had a building called "the retreat" away from the rest of the buildings in a little forest with nice paths around it. Seemed fancy.

15 min Tempo + Mona Fartlek
For various reasons it made sense to do this morning. Was a little worried that I'd suffer due to morning but sure I did all last year on Saturdays at 8 so why not.
Wore my inov8s for a change of shoe and went to the pitches. Plan was 15 min @ 165-170 bpm but the HR was fairly worthless so I just tried to hold a decent pace I guess which worked out as 4:10. 3 min recovery
Then mona (2x90s, 4x60s, 4x30s, 6x15s with equal float recovery). The last time I did this I died on the recoveries so I took them a bit slower but still trying to be in the high 4m/k range. Only used the bottom part of the pitches to avoid the hill but still really notice the slight incline, especially on the 30s and 15s.
Happy to get it done though and decent session. Pity about the HR.

It got late, then I went shopping which is always a bit of a task these days so I left the intervals until tomorrow. Just a nice easy one and I felt great. Just had a lovely time. Some new streets but a bit of a gps issue in one area.

Easy run doing the last few roads I missed yesterday. Cold and windy so not too many people out which was nice, less avoiding to do. Legs a bit tired but felt good to get out.
