Knocksink Come & try it - 4.1km 125m

A very very wet day in Wicklow and orienteering in a very muddy forest. Garmin in back pocket as the strap is broken again. I will get a new one I guess. A fun day out as the forest was super muddy. I was a mad lad, running around a bit like a headless chicken mostly. Got the controls anyway with a few bits of skiing/mudsliding thrown in. Didn't break the old 10 min/km. Garmin turned off somewhere as I bumslid down a hill.

Feeling fairly tired but I went for some bouldering in Gravity with Regina and her sister Anita. Was decent enough. I felt tired but was still able to climb most flags fine and work on some pinks. No blacks about due to the comp though. Colm and Roisin came at like 9pm then so I did actually stay until 10.

I made a mistake today and I hope I don't regret it too much. Body was clearly not totally recovered but I was behaving as if it was. Got to Cruagh and suddenly realised that I had nothing left. Turned around with Brian but had to walk up Tibradden. Managed to jog a bit then but it took a long time to get back. Was very spent afterwards. After getting some food into me I warmed up and went to bed pretty rapid.

I need to ensure there is easy food available for me after these. I didn't want to turn on my computer for fear of dossing so I have a bit of GPS uploading to catch up on.

Note
(rest day)

Fairly bad night's sleep. Woke up way too hot, then woke up too cold, then too cold again. I might be a bit ill or something.

Note
(rest day)

Felt fairly ill this evening. Couldn't even eat all of my dinner and went to bed at 9 since I was freezing cold and shivering.

Note

Back in Ireland.
Getting home was a bit tense.
Flight from Turkey was delayed, but since we had a huge tailwind we landed in Frankfurt basically on time. Passport control was then oddly at the bottom of the steps getting off the back of the plane, while we had sat near the front to get connections. It was eerily foggy in Frankfurt. Left Marcus to go his way and I went to my gate. There was only the people for our flight around so it was eerily empty. Then a series of announcements occurred:
"Due to bad weather in Frankfurt this flight will be delayed for 20 minutes until 10pm"...
"Due to continuing bad weather and since we have missed our slot this flight will be delayed until 11pm, please note that the last flight that can take off from Frankfurt is 11pm"...
At 21:30
"Boarding will go ahead as normal and start now but the flight is still delayed until 11pm"
So we got on the plane and sat there for an hour. We were the last place to take off from Frankfurt at 10:58. Close one.
Upon arriving in Dublin Conor called me as I walked through baggage collection and I just went straight through. Then had to spend a further 30 minutes farting around trying to get back in to collect my bag, which I did manage but I wasn't home until 1am.
