O-training (Long) 47:20 [2] *** 6.87 km (6:53 / km) +171m 6:07 / km

Long Model training. Got a lift from the Swiss.

Nice area. Flatter than the real long is going to be and apparently better underfoot. Felt pretty good running though and was nice and clean.

Note

Middle model training today. Garmin doesn't connect to this computer so I have no data for it until I get home. That will be a common theme of this week!

I'll write the text now and then just copy it in when I upload the GPS.

Really flat area (which is nice given my current hills ability). Lots of veg to navigate by, that and using the compass. I am now glad of the compass exercise in the phoenix park on Tuesday! Was pretty good, though taking it handy enough. It got warm by the end too. Need to be a little surer of my direction in the green and go as close to straight as you can. Then the 5min/k estimated winning time might be understandable

Note

Long day's travel to Olomouc. Didn't arrive until about 10 in the end. Was a bit of fun.

Running (off-road) 42:00 [4]
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon

Glen of the downs hill run. Garmin turned itself on in my bag again so it was out of battery when the time came to start. As I upload this in Czech Republic I can't access the IMRA website so my time is just an educated guess.

Nice trail this I always think, once you get up the vicious climb at the start. Kept a steady pace and made sure I kept it up the hills. Tried not to get into too many races but was kinda in one on the last hill trying to hang onto this purple guy. He got away but I got him again on the flat bit and passed him on the last downhill. Quite enjoyable.
