Today was the Glasgow parks.
This meant three park races in one day in various parks around Glasgow. You only found out where the next park was after you finished the race, and the last one was chasing start!

We started in Dawsholm Park. Course 2.6k 50m
It was a nice little forest parky thing but the road were really icy since it was really cold. I was really clean and finished 4th. My GPS was apparently dying though so wasn't going to last me the day!

Orienteering race 13:58 [4] *** 2.3 km (6:04 / km) +80m 5:10 / km

Glasgow Parks 2: Pollok Country Park
Another foresty park. Again really clean and felt like I was running half decently. Took one route choice on the road that was possibly bad since it was icy!

Came third on this one but was still lying 4th overall and the front 2 guys were looking uncatchable with 1second between them and me and Andrew 1min45 down
2 PM

Orienteering race 27:27 [5] *** 4.7 km (5:50 / km) +90m 5:20 / km
spiked:14/15c shoes: Salomon speed cross 2

Glasgow parks 3: Linn Park
A less interesting park but moade more in teresting by the competition!
Was in 4th starting 12seconds behind Andrew Lindsay. Needless to say we were together by 1. I took a better route to 2 and was ahead. Then it was pretty much neck and neck the whole way. We would take different routes and come to the control a few seconds apart. It was hurting. The difference came when we had an easy road leg at the end and he ran away from me, only to miss the control at the end, but not by enough for me to capitalise, got back within 5m but the uphill finish killed me so I finished 4th overall.

Really fun day! A great idea

Run up around the back of the top of Arthur's seat, going up the steep steps. It was cold so I wore my new fleecy tights and it was great. One of the paths had turned into an ice rivier which made thigs tricky

Got distracted finishing off the reports due for tomorrow and it got late very suddenly.

FVO night-o in Stirling.
It was cold to start with, which was actually great because the start bit was really boggy but it had frozen so i kept my feet dry. The start was fun with all the loops but I had my own gaffle while there was one where there seemed to be a huge train! I think I came out in third to get 13 and 14. Went all the way right for 15 to avoid the early climb but it meant I had to climb again near the end. Then I was tired and started doing stupid things, went up the wrong path going to 16 and should have kept going but I turned back. Did it again on the way to 17 so the guy in 4th passed me. We then had fun taking different routes to 18 (his was slightly better) he then missed 19 and we went different ways to 20 that were pretty even. Again different ways to 21 (he knew the place) and he went straight through what appeared at the time to me as a maze! He then managed to disappear until 25 where he went the wrong side of the fence so I was back on him and then he didnt read the olive at 26 right so I got in front again. I think I went the wrong way to 27 but I stayed in front and set up a horrbily long sprint finish. I beat him though. Yay!
Fun course with a lot of things happening.
