Note

WOC Middle qual

Started well, felt a bit sluggish but the ground was wet and sticky so figured it'd be the same for everyone. Good and clean for the first 3, veered off the line a bit to 4. That hill was really vague so I was happy to come into it cleanly. 5 and 6 were really good, hesitant to 7 and 8.
I was starting to feel tired then going up and down the hills to 9 and had to walk bits. A bit of a miss at 9 and then I just started feeling really tired. Pushed to 10 and got it ok but I went too far into the red and just kinda ran a random direction to 11. Just couldn't relocate then and dropped 4-5 mins. The last few were easy enough then.

I have to be positive about the first part, I was in 19th at number 10 and I had top 20 in mind as a decent goal. Disappointed to have had such a big mistake though and not recover quicker. I knew I had to push hard to have any hope of qualifying so I guess it was a risk worth taking.

Interestingly I got more World ranking points than Roar despite my slower time and worse place.

Looking forward to a few nice middles at the spectator races before the relay on Saturday
