Eventually pulled the plug and said that the event has to be moved. Unfortunately, the event is on Monday. so I've got some work to do now...

recovery run out at Mangas. The forestry people seem to have moved on from the main tracks - looks like they're ready to go on the lovely grazed block out the back of the bridle tracks though.
Legs felt good, so must have managed things well on Saturday (and yesterday!)

Pouring with rain all weekend (more rain in 4hrs today than Taranaki usually receives in July). Good reason to rest.
