Running 1:22:00 [3] 12.0 km (6:50 / km) +250m 6:11 / km

Picked up the last of the høiås rocks. Just in time as the reflector controls come in next week. And just in time for my one year heart op anniversary :) Compiled map below - took me 9 trips in total, with a noticeable increase in speed throughout. I have photos of all 56 rocks too...in case anyone needs proof!

Note

Physio with Vendula. Must have bruising under the ribs from tuesday as was really tender when she massaged the diaphragm. Explains why I've been feeling sick in the stomach toward the end of running on Weds and Thurs, too much jolting around. SHould pass in a couple of days.

Ellipse 45:00 [2]

No fake hiking while on the ellipse today, just chatting to Kine/giving her a running commentary of the episode of antiques road-show that was on my Ellipse's screen. One lady got 45000kr for a little chinese statue from the 1700s. She was pretty happy. Just FYI.

Running warm up/down 27:00 [2] 4.6 km (5:52 / km) +30m 5:41 / km

Orienteering 29:30 [3] 4.4 km (6:42 / km) +120m 5:54 / km

Relay training from Høiås. Went harder than intended on the first couple of controls, then came to my senses and pulled back the pace (helpfully aided by a dodgy compass bearing and as a result no longer having Kine (in an Australian shirt no less) to chase ;)

Got caught by Kjetil "I'm only going to walk" Bjørlo, who had a very unusual and fast walking gait. I'd almost say it was run like, but he's a man of his word, so it must just have been some kind of Norwegian walking style I haven't come across yet.

KM Natt.
Ahaha, what a joke. Made a sufficient mess of #1 that I will definitely be given a day leg at Smålandskavlen. That goal achieved, I messed around marginally less on #2. Then got my head screwed on and ran on tracks as much as possible for the rest of the course. Whatever night orienteering finesse I had after 2 years in Norway has been erased after 1.5yrs without any night O. In fact, it's worse, as whereas before my confidence and skill were nicely matched (i.e. both very low), now my confidence is far greater than it has any right to be compared to my skill, leading to some pretty head-strong but misguided route choices :D
Comically though, I almost ended up with the KM gold. Of the 5 of us entered, Vilma didn't start, Jo DNFed, and Eva dobbed in herself and Iliana to be disqualified after running through someone's backyard by mistake. Fortunately though the organisers weren't having anything of her confession, so I was happily 3rd of 3 on the result list!
Good Fun. Nice mild evening for it too, which was appreciated after we hit 0 a couple of nights ago.

Orienteering 53:00 [4] 6.4 km (8:17 / km) +240m 6:58 / km

Orienteering intervals at Rudskogen. Started off 15s before or after Vilma each time. Finished either together with her or well back of her each time. Was a lot of fun and a really hard session. Both of us felt we pushed hard and well physically, but technically...mmm not so great.

Football 45:00 [0]

Only 5 of us at training. Bit of a waste of time, only thing to come out of it was having the ball smashed into my diaphragm at point blank courtesy of Mari. Ended up curled on the ground trying to laugh, but then realising I couldn't breathe, let alone laugh.

2 weeks without football now. Should be long enough for the bruises and aches to disappear. Then we have 3 matches in 7 days, so they'll be replaced by new ones, sure enough.

Running 27:00 [2] 4.8 km (5:37 / km) +80m 5:12 / km

Pre-strength jog testing out various aches and pains. Discovered a previously unrecorded one on my right shin (from under the shin-pad?). Will add it to the ouch map which already has on it the corked thigh, knee to the privates, sprained something in the forearm, and my mysteriously sore head...
luckily our next match isn't for over 2 weeks (I don't understand the Norwegian season)

Right thigh said no to squats. Everything else coped.

Football 1:30:00 [3] 9.3 km (9:41 / km)

vs Begby at home.
Solid 3-0 victory. Started on left wing, but got switched into central mid after 30mins or so. Aaaah. Home sweet home. Under no illusion that it will last, but it was nice for the day at least :)
Physical match, got given a dead leg at some point in the first half, and finished the match with sore bits all over. Vendula mentioned my lack of bruises at physio last week...upon which I joked it was cos I hadn't played football in 1.5weeks. In hindsight, maybe not a joke. Somehow I don't think I'll be getting the same comment this week anyway!
