10 AM

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)

Orienteering 43:33 [3] 5.51 km (7:54 / km) +105m 7:13 / km

NM middle final 12th
Steady and accurate race. Caught Marion at #2 and we were much the same from there - she was far stronger but I was more accurate. Fairly hit the wall in the last loop and lost control of breathing on the last 2 controls, but the 30s lost on it didn't drop me any places. Tired but steady as - fast start, but then was between 9th and 13th place the whole way.

Also had one of those classic orienteering moments on the way to 14, when you (elegantly) slide down a 3m cliff/bank, only to look back and see your map hanging on a branch back at the top... :/

Running 19:56 [3] 3.42 km (5:49 / km) +1m 5:49 / km

felt better at the end than the start. which i guess is the point of a morning jog.
3 PM

Orienteering warm up/down 20:00 [2] 3.0 km (6:40 / km)

Orienteering 31:32 [3] 3.45 km (9:08 / km) +116m 7:49 / km

NM middle qual.
One of those days. Felt shit breathing wise from 4 through to 8. But settled back, accepted it, and could run 9 to the finish at a steady pace. Had given up most hope of qualifying for the final, but scraped in in 12th place by 3s and a complete twist of fate.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [1] 2.5 km (8:00 / km)

Orienteering 1:17:28 [3] 10.64 km (7:17 / km) +300m 6:23 / km

Nm lang.
Went as well as one could expect for showing up the night before never having looked at a an old map of the area, let alone run in anything like it :)
Good fun. Lost a lot of time at the start, but only lost 2.5 mins on hausken from #6 to the finish. Which is pretty cool.
Wicked terrain eh. Sneaked into top 10 by 2s hehe.

I don't understand how this is even on my watch - it froze after 1 second so I gave up on it after failing to manually reset the watch on the run. Seems to have no GPS. I dunno, Garmin watches are crap. Will see what happens next time I try to use it!

Anyhow, ran around hoiasmarka. Tried some new tracks, which were neat.
