Attempted race 1 of W6, but pulled out half way through. Just too much after a big and busy week of training, and the realisation that Monday and leaving for Europe is very close. Knew I was pushing it, but still very disappointing.

Up Kaukau with Immy. Still feeling rubbish, maybe the slowest time I've done up there in about a decade. Last time up there for a while though, so enjoyed it. Step running practice on the way down to the back of K Park.

Did an old 2014 course on west bay as the chance was there and ive never run on the map. Tricky but cool area and well mapped. Just have to stay in control 100% of the time...'just'...

Run with immy and her friend graham in richmond hills.
Got home from the training wknd at 8.30 last night and had a 7.30 am flight to nelson. But then, immy and graham had been on nights at the hospital, so no excuses allowed from me ;)
They accelerated away up the hill, but i slowly caught up...or they waited. Solid gut buster of a final climb. Very thankful for the guy on duty at the fire watchtower at the summit who gave us water!
No gps...but its on immy's AP and strava :)

Jogging in to fusilier and putting out tapes for relocation exercise

Relocation with one of the jnrs sam. Few stops for some coaching.

Windows exercise. Compass and distance. Lara beat me on the last control, will prob never live it down

Orienteering 20:00 [3] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)

3 intervals. Started at 10s ints with us 6girls and john and greg. Won the first two. Then we had a mass mistake on #1 of the last int in a vague as area. I went back out to the track to relocate, as did tessa, but everyone found it while we were gone. Will definitely hear about that one for a while too...

Camp champs. Smashed. But nailed that vague area this time, helped that the control feature was a full contour big this time though ;)
