Running 16:06 [4]

ASOM race 1.
absolutely torrential rain before and in first half of the race made the large grass stretches trecherous, especially on the turn. Race went ok, brain wasn't clicked into sprint mode though and legs didn't have that extra gear. Happy enogh with 4th equal though all taken not account.

Orienteering 17:30 [4]

much more routechoice than the first, with less open and more streets and gardens. Felt good til #6 but then my calf muscles tightened up and that precipitated into a panic/anxiety attack. So race over.
just. Bummer.
didnt come as a huge surprise though, which is perhaps half why it happened too.

good warm up and managed a wd fine once i'd rested a few mins

round town and fortress to buy a train ticket and try clear the mind. Managed the former at least.
And got a cheer from some tourists as i crawled up to the fortress. So that was nice. Took me 10s after to realise they'd cheered in english too.

Group long run at Hovsfjellet. Nice forest trails/rocks/tracks. Many puddles, mud and slippery bare-rock death slides. Pretty views. Good company.

Note

Late decision to head up to NM now they have guest classes. Booked flights and entered, gonna be wicked fun :)
And will be nice to finally run up in Trondheim, after being injured for WOC there in 2010. (and the terrain will be way better this time round anyway!)

Running 20:00 [3] 5.2 km (3:51 / km)

Rødsparken Intervals with Mari. Sketched out a ~5min loop, which was a mix of the 4min loop i've done with Helen, and the 4min loop that Elena had done in the past. Worked well, with a good mix of terrains.

Managed to hang close to Mari's heels on the first interval, then dropped a 5-10m back on the middle two. Cracked on the last one though. Not surprising as my interval sessions have usually been shorter efforts and shorter time cumulative too.
Really good session, did both of us good to have company! And Elena came along and did her strength session at the same time, so had extra support mid way around each time :)

4.57, 4.57, 4.57, 5.05.

One more short sharp session before the weekend races.

Orienteering race 36:20 [4] 4.9 km (7:25 / km) +180m 6:16 / km

KM stafett AOOK, BuOK og ØOK
Running 2nd leg after Kine and handing to Bodil. Kine came in in the lead, but I had no idea what length by. Had a shaky start, with slips on 2, 3 and 4, but then pulled myself together and had a good mid and end of the course (aside from opting for straight to 10 and getting beaten by a group of junior boys that went around.. :/
Handed over to Bodil well in the lead, and she kept it clean for the win by 8:15 :)
