Orienteering 57:30 [3] 6.8 km (8:27 / km)

Halden and Czech team relay training.
I arrived in Halden ~9pm last night, so thought I'd go out for a jog around part of the course, just to ease the legs out post-flight. Happy that my brain adjusted surprisingly easily to the norwegian map and terrain type. Much better than in the past, I must be getting more experienced ;) Was accurate on the controls (probably because i was going slowly) but made two mistakes toward the end as mental tiredness kicked in.

Orienteering warm up/down 12:00 [3]

pretty much the same pace as the actual training.

Note

in transit.

scored a full empty row on the 13.5hr flight from Melb-Dubai. So got a 'decent' 7.5 hours sleep, which I was pretty stoked about. But then had a row partner for the next 8hr flight, so couldn't lie down and didn't get any more sleep until I got to Halden.

Running 58:00 [3] 8.9 km (6:31 / km)

o-gang run with mags and greg. Around Otari-Wilton and giving the nice new track in crofton-downs a run.

Running 58:25 [3] 7.8 km (7:29 / km) +365m 6:04 / km

Manawatu Gorge track, up to sentinel lookout and back. Very wet but track was in good nick. Got a bit of a surprise from the massive maori warrior statue that's half way up!
Felt really good, but gps is too crap due to the tree cover and gorgeness, so can't really compare on strava...(silly competitiveness coming out)

Orienteering 34:30 [3]

Old OY course from 2013 on Osgiliath (Red medium I think). Ran through to #16, which was middle length, and plenty enough after yesterday! (plus the last 4 controls that I skipped were just running). Found it hard to read some of the contour detail on the run. Am I getting old?

Mtn Biking 55:00 [2]

To the map and back. With a rather flat front tire.
