Orienteering 25:00 [3]

Putting out tapes for BL coaching.
12 PM

Running 1:34:00 [3] 13.2 km (7:07 / km)

Original plan was for Badja training, but Lachy didn't feel great, so we opted for a long run in Namadgi instead. Great call. Headed to Honeysuckle, which had a nice layer of snow!
Awesome fun run out to Lego Land, and then following the single track on from there as far as we could before we lost it in the snow/it ended (not sure which, we spent a while trying to find where it might continue). Spent a fair amount of time just messing around playing in the snow and on the rocks :)

Football 1:15:00 [2]

Wahey! Wind worthy of Wellington today :)

Fun training...our club has 'team of the week', who get to choose a dress up theme for their training that week. Our turn this week. I missed 'semi-formal' training on tuesday, but tonight we had 'zombie' training. We're considering psyching out the opposition by repeating it for the game on Sunday :)

Down side...couldn't stop at the supermarket on the way home. So dinner was left overs.

Strength and Conditioning 20:00 [1]

Morning exercises. Proper S&C after yesterday's 'effort'.
6 PM

Running 36:30 [3] 7.0 km (5:13 / km)

Felt absolutely pathetic on leaving the lab and was very close to just driving home, despite already being in running kit.
But lured myself over to Ainslie, mainly cos the view from the top never disappoints, plus the novelty of running by headlamp still appealed. As usual, felt better once I was out. enjoyed the view, managed to avoid annihilating my ankles in the dark, and said hello to the Ainslie roos. They didn't have much to say back.

Note

Still getting woken up by pain in my elbow/arm most nights. Might need to go get a 2nd opinion on it.

Orienteering warm up/down 5:00 [3]

Orienteering 56:00 [3]

Went for an unofficial run around Red 2. Again, navigation was pretty crap. Just not concentrating today, was too high/low on a number of controls, and still managed to just not see a couple once I was in the circle. (seems to be a global issue for me, needs work.) Even had trouble on controls that I put out yesterday! Although I purposefully ran the course that attacked them from different directions, which makes it marginally less embarrassing. Maybe ;)

Managed to go for a swim on the way to #18. My map didn't work so well after that, and hopefully my watch still works tomorrow.

Really enjoyable still, and cool courses from Jacqui.

Football warm up/down 20:00 [3]

So sluggish in warm up. Maybe O this morning wasn't the best idea after all?

Football 1:30:00 [4]

The good ol' Orienteering - Soccer double header.

Played on an absolute paddock in Lyneham, rather than the beautiful Deakon stadium, thanks to the Western Sydney - Canberra FC game the other night tiring out the pitch.
On the bright side, there were little hills on the pitch that I could stand on to make me taller for goal kicks etc. Just as well as I swear the average height of the FC girls was a bout 5 10! which is suspicious when the average for women is 5 4...

Another physical match. Got taken out by one of said giants, whose knee was unfortunately the same height as my bum. Cue not being able to sit properly for a few days... Our keeper also got taken out, and as we didn't have a reserve keep, poor Gids had to go goal for the 2nd half.
