Orienteering warm up/down 10:00 [2]
Token. Fair to say wasn't feeling so hot after last night's party. And sickness has hit with a vengeance. Not really surprising.

Well. I got around. Thought my stomach and head would complain like anything, but really it was the lungs and legs that slowed me down more! Breathing wasn't exactly easy with the chesty cold.
Some complex areas as expected, but was let down by the map I felt. I had real trouble reading the details as it looked like it had been mapped at 1:2000 and then zoomed out. Stairs were impossible to see and I really had to stop dead to read some of the underpasses.
Plus one control which was on a dead end path surrounded by (presumably) out of bounds garden. But one section leading all the way to the control was marked on the map as underpass/covered area, despite being garden on the ground. Where the garden stuck out from the covered area, it was marked as olive green.
What's the deal there? Presumably I could argue that according to the map I can go through the covered part of the garden, straight to the control. But I'm sure that's not what the mapper (or setter) intended.
Anyway, map needs improving before WOC trials next year...
