Was going to bike to and from a bbq on the south side. But when i looked outside at 7 it was pouring, so wimped out and got a lift by offering to be sober driver :) good decision, there were a few people who had to wear nur's clothes for the night cos they got so soaked biking there!
Had a real good massage today too. Got rid of a lot of tightness in my lateral calfs and ITBs. Hammies were surprisingly ok as were my glutes - but then my glutes prob don't do enough work to get tight!
Over to Mo's before O and then back after an amazing dinner. Pumpkin, spinach, pine nut and sesame seed pasta. Words cannot describe how awesome it was!
stupid head winds both ways i swear

walk/jog around orange 2 with Mo. Good little verbalisation exercise. Didn't feel a thing in the knee but that could have been due to the low intensity
good game from what i remember. We certainly won by a lot. Don't think I even had a shot though, did plenty of sprinting into positions to score, but the ball never came to me lol.
Had a little think whilst biking yday about all the positives to take out of my knee layoff (I refuse to use the word injury). Got quite a good list too:
- Was in need of a good end of season rest anyway, this way atleast I had to take it properly
- Have been lacking motivation since WOC, prob. due to point 1. Def got motivation back now, super keen to get back running and training!
- The worrying tweak in my left thigh has had time to sort itself out and is nowhere to be felt now :)
- I now have a good set of exercises and it's an integral part of my day. Infact I feel bad watching tv without doing exercises now - weird!
- My mountain bike skills have improved (debatable)
- My mountain bike repair skills have improved (definite)
- I have some things that could resemble abs. Will find out for sure once I've run off the thin layer of shielding I've built around them during my rest...
-In my orienteering deprived state I've set a fair few theoretical exercises to do over summer, plus ideas and plans for physical trainings
- I've had lots more time to get phd work done (note careful wording; not saying I've used that time)
to/from cockies run. Probably woke up the whole postgrad village with my wet and squeaky brakes. oops.

testing the knee again. Felt very antisocial but turned around after 15mins like a good girl. Had to stop for a stretch after 20mins but eased off a little after that. Even managed a single track towards the end.
Not there yet though.
considered a bit of a bike after, but got caught by a downpour while i decided which put me off. (wimp)

followed by fresh scones with jam and cream plus coffee. One of the few things I'll miss about Burgmann - not hard to replicate though.

you can tell how much tv i watch each day by the length of time i do S+C for lol
