been super slack with stretching and exercises this week, havent done anything since bibly's on tues.
will improve this week again!

had a bit of a crap day training wise yday, was at work til 7. then felt shite from the antibiotics ive got for both my bite and my evil twin lump.

anyway feeling better today so headed out for what was planned to be 60-70 mins. felt ave to start with but gradually got into it. started same as monday, but opposite way round the top. then felt good on way down so decided to take some small tracks, the smaller the better. frustrating when they wind around and take you nowhere, but was a good test of my body compass. managed to keep check on where i was most of the time.

finished with a half loop and over the top of little black

Note

so turns out the other night when i thought something may have bitten me whilst lying on the couch, but couldnt see anything cos the lights were off for the movie, pretty sure i actually was bitten!
was sitting in a seminar today, fiddling as usual and not listening. and applied pressure on one foot from the other, only to experience a real intense flare of pain! so after the talk took my shoe and sock off and sure enough there's a little bite mark just where i felt something the other night!
not cool. think it'd be a white tail cos weve had a few in our flat. Was going to get a dr's appt anyhow so will check on this when i go too.

could also explain why ive felt sick last two evenings.

Note

Booked my flights to Rome for research and field work on monday. So off on the 27th of May, won't be back til after WOC. eek!

Do any of you reading my log know orienteering contacts near Rome? I'm going to be there for two months, so plenty of time to get into the local scene. Going to need some good places to train prior to WOC too.
Hopefully I'll make it up to France for a couple of weekends, though unfortunately think it'll be cutting it fine to make the official training camp at start of june. maybe there's british/irish training camps i can hitch in on? I'm going to have to be organised i feel.

cockies run from devils. up and around the single tracks on bruce and oconnor ridges.
ankle complained every time i stood on a rock with outside of L foot, must have freshened up the bruising a bit last week.
mean soup after.

to and from run. caned it on way back, still missed start of criminal minds though. but its so mindless was easy to catch up.
glad i had my buff on way home, face was freezing!

to and from bilby's. Hands froze on the way home despite gloves, and now i realise why full leg tights are the go! didn't get lost in the dark with my pathetic light though so that's a plus

bilby's training warm up/down. no idea what the timing really was so going off what devil's got.
felt pretty terrible to begin with, and once again ankle was feeling the effects of easter. but once i actually got into the ints, forgot about all the aches and pains so all good :)

6 x 800m with 200m recoveries.
3.08 for the first, then messed up timings for the next two :) 3.11, 3.11 and 3.08 to finish. or something like that, was dropping a few m from mace every int, which i'll settle for at the moment.
good session, and think i'll make it a weekly date (for the next 3 weeks anyhow!)

i need to learn that it gets dark at 5.30, not 6 as i keep thinking! Or maybe it got dark at 6 before i went home for easter?
Anyway, did an almost lap round the outside of the gardens on the 4wd track. then up and a lap of circumsicion. up and over the top of blackie then back via the saddle, in the dark :s
felt good once my lungs had accustomed to the cold air! legs felt like they had some juice in them atlast.
next time i think i can fit in a run before it gets dark, im going to take my headlamp anyway!

over to some park on the other side of oconnor ridge to watch women's football. Felt a bit weird sitting alone on the sideline! Watched what was supposedly the top 2 women's teams in canberra. One was impressive and looked quite hard core, other was a messier but held their own. Encouraged that I could prob make it into any of the prem teams if/when i feel like starting playing again. (next year, don't worry amber!)

Mtn Biking 45:00 [3]

back home via tracks on bruce ridge. left at the worst possible time and had to weave my way through all the league supporters leaving the stadium! Had to stop a couple of times to fix my seat as it was playing silly bugger. Gears were bit clunky today too.
found some tracks that were a bit above my level, but managged to stay on,just about :)
