run with laura and tessa at belmont.
up from stratton street, laura showed us a nice zig zagging mtb track which beats going straight up as i usually do! Then around the tops via round knob to belmont. scorcher of a day, v.thankful for the breeze! gutted we didnt end up at a beach this week!

played with only 4 players. so bit more effort than usual,but also more space to play with. still managed to win 19-11 or something

no accurate timing, but time is for the entire session, so 3 intensity is ave.

rep session on kaukau map. i thought we were going to just be doing bearings on hill sides, not reps or id have pointed out beforehand to todd that the map was a bit steep for reps!
still was good fun once we got into it, tessa and i arrived late, and found only one map between us. so bit of map memory.never quite caught the others up but did see them out there, and got an extra map off todd half way round. some of the reps were difficult to go hard on as they were steep down hill, or real steep uphill. but others were good.

late back from work, and feeling pretty dead from last few days. managed to get out the door though. just round the lower tracks of kaukau
Also some one forgot to scoop their poop in the gardens yday, so my shoe smelt! :( some dogs got a whiff and chased me for a bit, prob wanted to eat my shoe...

had to dodge people on the 3rd, 5th and 7th, which shows in the times

first intense session in a while so will build it up from here. felt good to get back into it, just needed to pick up the motivation to get out of the lab in the first place!

round the gardens a bit and back to uni. saw a few of the wellington girls crew doing there 'orienteering' for ncea pe, and a load of first years out doing scavenger hunts for halls. plus had to dodge the usual cruise sship people

trainings gradually getting more intense. did some good old progressions today :) that is a square's set up, first time you sprint one side, jog 3, then 2,2 3,1 4,0 usually would do it more than once but guessing we'll build up to that.

around and up tinakori hill with tessa. legs did not appreciate the hills but managed to ease them out on the way down.
would much rather have gone and looked at puppies with Lisa, but then i'd have lonered tessa...

with tessa laura rita and sam. from days bay up to the main ridge and along, down to butterfly creek and back over to eastbourne. then along the beach back to days bay. the hill at the start wasnt nearly as bad as last time, and legs didnt feel at all tired from yesterday (they will tomorrow though)
real cool to run with rita again cos we're the same pace as each other (and cos she's awesome)
