Running 1:45:00 [3]

Run in the orongarongas with the o-gang. was 2hrs 5 on tessa's watch, but 1.45 on magnus's ( without breaks waiting for others to catch up :P) so thought id take mag-dizzles time cos i was running with him for the most part.
anyway, 3rd beautiful day in a row. started at catchpool car park, straight up butcher's track. i now know why it has its name, cos it fully butchered my legs by the time we got to top! then all the way along cattle ridge, or something like that. was the most awesome track to run! dodging trees and stumps everywhere, was wicked fun! then steep downhill towards orongaronga river, S-Rah and i had a ball trying not to bail down the hill. Lisa's friend wasnt so impressed by the rough ground, dont think we'll be seeing her again lol. Anway, briefly went down to river before taking 5mile track back to carpark, via some bonus hills.

wicked run all up, but left me so tired, i had to nanna nap in the arvo, and only lasted an hour at s-rah's mid winter christmas party (although its pretty much spring so dunno what that was bout!)

run up kaukau this morning cos wont have time for run this arvo/evening. another beautiful day! 2nd day running in just tshirt and shorts :) couldnt see egmont from the top, but then not really a surprise as i havent seen it from kaukau for years...
ankle is looking mean bruised after soccer last night, v.impressive. feels sweet to run on though.

Running 40:00 [3]

run round the botanics from uni during the day. first time in ages ive run in the sunshine! and first time in months (in this country) that i've been running without a long sleeve top on! awesome
feet were aching quite a bit towards end, so loosened shoes which got me home atleast.

Football (indoor game) 30:00 [3]

indoor with t-dog and her brother's team. wasn't as hard out as usual, but scoreline was way closer than should have been. another win though so all good, 11-9 maybe? apparently i scored 5 goals, but also scored an own goal (oops) so yeah...

i like to eat, i like to run, i dont like uni so much at the mo. today i did way too much of the 3rd and not nearly enough of the 1st, leaving me with no energy and feeling way too sick to do the 2nd. dumb. i should really just do waht i like!

Running 45:00 [3]

Was gonna do the 5k on the waterfront but got caught up at uni so ended up stopping at wilton bush on way home for an eventful run.
Started off along valley bottom, saw the most amazing white dove! it was just chilling out in one of the clearings, didnt seem to mind me getting within bout a metre of it :) that or i stunned it so much with my headlamp that it was stuck to the spot...anyhow it was beautiful!
then continued up through karori cemetery, in the dark, by myself, managed not to freak myself too much so all good. Then up new track towards skyline, actually saw some other runners which i wasnt really expecting. And slipped and slid back down past the 800 year old rimus, which must be about 820 years old by now surely.
Unfortunately Tessa wasnt there to stop me falling off the track tonight, so few more bruises to add to the collection.

Running hills 1:00:00 [3]

Run up colonial knob with extended O-gang followed by potluck. Was more than a tad muddy resulting in some entertaining slips. Almost took Tessa out on my second bail, will try harder next time :P
good to have toddy back, the o-gang wasnt quite complete with him gone.

Thought it was bout time i got with it and started logging training on attackpoint. So sarah: now it's not attackpoint stalking when i look at your log!

Football (Game) 1:50:00 [3]

20mins warmup followed by game

Filling in for 2nds now that our seasons finished. Man you lose so much match fitness in 2 weeks! first 30 was hell! Bit difficult adapting to playing in a different team so played more holding role. still a lot of running though! Lost 4-3 but had a defender playing in goal so not bad considering.
good fun, loving the jellybeans at halftime!
gutted i missed ngaio streets to play, but will try run the course sometime this week

Note

Took my boots off after game to find i had a massively swollen and bruised ankle... Actually think its just stud marks above the ankle, but i'm real proud of the bruising, i never get impressive bruises like this! Doesn't hurt so hopefully goes away in couple of days.
