unexpected advantage of having a full set of running kit always in the office - I have a headlamp to see my way around the dept after dark while I'm writing away!
didn't remember i had it last night...almost broke my arm while trying to find the kitchen and more coffee...

Oooh dear. this log is looking a bit empty!

I have done zilch since last friday. aside from strengthening.

No motivation to hit the pool with a cold, so just sitting things out atm. Saw Cathy this morning though, extremely informative and pretty encouraging. The left side of my bum seemed to stop working a couple of years ago and the rest of that side has finally had enough of covering my left bum's ass. ;)

But if I'm good with my exercises, and the muscles start kicking in, I might be allowed to run a little this time next week. That's the goal!

til then. I have a midterm review to get done by next weds. So til then, goodbye world!

My body decided overnight that if I'm going to be injured, I might as well go the whole hog and be sick as well.

Atleast now I can sit inside on a nice day and not feel bad about it :)

Managed to set blue lightning training so that I didn't have to put any tapes out. Will have to be imaginative with my exercise for next saturday too so I don't have to do anything physically active while coaching!

Could see it coming, but was in denial. Physio has put a stop to all running and soccer. Still not sure what it is that's niggling in my glute (as there were a few things on the ultra sound), so the tactic seems to be stop doing anything that remotely aggravates it, and see what happens, along with more strengthening etc.

Time to look out the aqua jogging belt, and investigate these so called gym places I've heard about. Plan is to be back for Aus Champs, but seen as the physio doesn't know exactly what we're dealing with, who knows?!

finally dusted off my poor dear bike and hit up Stromlo with Jacqui.

Was thinking it was going to be a loooong day in the first 15mins as Jacqs lagged far far behind. So was relieved to find this was due to her back wheel not being able to turn by itself - she'd effectively been biking with the brakes jammed fully on! Lucky a nice couple of guys stopped to fix it for us :)

Other than that drama, made it to the top, and down again, without falling off once. Woo!

decided to go for a run up mt taylor, as a) i've never been up it. and (b) uphill doesn't seem to aggravate my bum.

it was steep.
