Twilight sprint at Mt Tay-tay. Swift running was had in the first twilight I've done in a while that hasn't left me wanting to Begin Again. The Last Time(s) at twilight i've been too tired/grumpy to do any well but this week I was able to Shake it Off and return to a better Style. For once my mind wasn't just a Blank Space, I felt like I had my Eyes Open and was able to Breathe easily while running.
I started off trying to keep things Safe and Sound, but by the time I got to Fifteen I was feeling a bit more Mean and Fearless. Perhaps driven by Lukas starting close behind me - my main goal being that We were Never Ever Getting Back (to the finish) Together, even if sometimes Two is Better than One for navigating. He did beat me though, perhaps if there had been 22 controls he'd have caught me up.

I'm used to sprints that are Out of the Woods, so it was a nice Change to have a bush sprint. And niceto have a good run. I'm not saying Everything has Changed, or that Today was a Fairytale run or Love Story, but it does give me confidence I can get my form Back to December levels.

Up Majura, into the Pines and around and about. Went off track for a fair bit. Half out of choice, half being an idiot and losing the track.

Beaut of a run from Charlotte's Pass around the Main Ridge loop with a side trip to Mt Townsend. Track was larger than ideal, but still nice ;) Mt Townsend was awesome, just rock hopping and picking our own route across to the top. Would be keen another time to do more of the (not much) smaller peaks, which would be off trail.
Summitted Koszi, then a long blast/plod down the 4wd track back to the Pass. Reckon I did over 1000m climb once the clambering on rocks while my watch was turned off is factored in :)

Definitely the right decision not to do hiils yesterday. But body and brain were still too wound up tonight, had to stop twice on course to calm down, then just jogged around.
Nice course and remap, but a bit wasted on me as I couldn't run hard, and know the area so well that I wasn't reading the nice new map much anyhow!

3hr20 rogaine on Ainslie with Lachy.

Good day out, and love the off-trail terrain around Majura and Ainslie :) We went up towards Majura first, which apparently not many others did, as after #43 we didn't see anyone for over an hour! I went through a bit of a low when we got to Campbell Park, which i'd correctly predicted and warned Lachy was going to happen. Unfortunately in a last minute oversight we forgot to put the bungy cord in, so I just had to push through...
We managed to clear the course in just under 3hrs, and snuck in just ahead of Jase and Gareth. But it was only that close cos we lost 7mins looking for the imaginary #43 ;)

Relocation training with Lachy on Ainslie N using the twilight event from Nov that I missed thanks to stabbing myself with a stick the previous week. Thanks to Lachy for coming, cos I'd have bailed otherwise....really struggled to get out of bed, turns out this whole training this is kinda tiring!
Rest day tomorrow, rogaine Saturday! woo! Rest!

Twilight event/training at Bruce Ridge. Far out. I should learn not to take the training map - it just leads to frustration! Made a mess of #1 and #2 on the contour only map (#1 was my mistake atleast, #2 bit of me, bit of the map). #3 was in the wrong spot, so took a bit to find (only found it cos Lachy called out after I'd given up). Then just got frustrated at trying to find track bends in thick vegetation when neither the tracks nor the vegetation were on my contour only map!! Completely effed #9 too.

Atleast the last bit was in more open terrain, so I got out of my boo a bit by the end.

Mass start with the boys out at the Pinnacle. Legs were smashed though, so a pretty slow session for me. No sign of the guys by the time I got to the butterfly loop, so ended up cruising around. Managed to avoid doing an ankle on any of the numerous hidden stones in the grass though, so winning!
