NOL 2 - Long Distance
8:31 AM. Belair NP. Burned 1197 calories.
Course: M21E 12.7 km 585 m
EPIC. Took off nice and slow in order to save my legs for later. I needed them. Should've actually walked the first bit and ran the rest. I enjoyed the adventure, but hate those rocks..... And Simon made us go thorugh them twice.
I had to help one of the W21E get untangled from a tree which had caught in her hair. That was funny. by the latter part of the course i had gone from "race" mentality to "survive" mentality and minimised all my climb, which meant some longer route choices. This afternoon has been spent refuelling the body with the equivalent of 5 Mars Bars i burnt out on the course.
