Orienteering race 55:47 [5] 4.8 km (11:37 / km)

1: Overshot this control and didn't realize it for a while. I started moving east and only turned around when the vegetation got close enough to the river for it to be obvious I wasn't where I thought I was.

6: I miscounted some trail intersections and ended up searching the wrong area. Eventually I ran up to the clearing above and realized I was in the wrong reentrant.

8: Made a parallel error when looking for the right gully. I eventually relocated only to make another parallel error. After that I finally found the correct one.

10 AM

Orienteering race 14:17 [5] 2.0 km (7:09 / km)

8 & 9: Both times I cut through some dense undergrowth but ended up not going in the direction I intended. Only ended up a little ways off on both points but the mistakes cost me a cumulative minute as I regained my bearings.

11: Managed to get somewhat mixed up in the maze-esque area near the point and had to relocate off of the exit to the large clearing to the south only ended up costing a few seconds though.

2 PM

Orienteering race 43:00 [5] 4.5 km (9:33 / km)

7: Had a hard time differentiating the undergrowth and rough open on this point and eventually got off course, though once I hit a trail I was pretty sure wasn't supposed to be there I corrected quick enough and lost less than a minute.

8: I shot a straight path through the clearing but ended up hitting the trail I wanted several meters off and nearly followed the wrong gully down, but moved on when I saw that it turned and paralleled the trail instead of crossing it.

23: This one was merely a route choice issue. The route right of the lake was shorter but proved to be much more difficult to get through.
