orienteering 51:00 [3]
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw

Chiltern Challenge, Christmas Common. Green course. Pouring and freezing, ran in cag and gloves and hat. Not too bad but flagged towards end - me and my legs do not like hills! Made ludicrous running-round-in-circles type mistake on easiest control of the course near the end, I guess down to tiredness.

Note

So plan for next week. We are away Thurs and Fri, think I can manage something like this:

Tues 12 Feb lunchtime run 35 mins
Weds 13 eve 45 mins
Sat 16 run 40 mins
Sun 17 run 75 mins

Will continue for now keeping everything fairly nice and relaxed, and not using hrm yet so I don't stress about that.

Decided to go to Chiltern Challenge tomorrow, so 60 min run today. Ran back from Heather's after topping up her fish pond, via Binsey Lane, Aristotle Lane and canal, with loop round Rosamund Rd/Home Close at end to make up time. Hurrah.

Well. Safe to say I would not have managed this run had I not written down my intentions. After 9pm, dark and cold, feeling totally knackered after a couple of really busy days prancing around doing presentations. But as ever well worth getting out, feeling quite virtuous now.

Did it! Hurrah. Slow and huffing and puffing from the start, but still, the box is ticked. And it was lovely and sunny out on the meadow/nature reserve, too.
