Orienteering race (Boom Shaka Laka) 1:14:54 [4] *** 7.3 km (10:16 / km) +330ft 9:36 / km
spiked:15/18c shoes: VJ Falcons

MNOC Battle Creek Red Course set by Darrel and David, Vetted by Todd. If I could have 2 points back, I would be pretty happy. #3 I took a look at the pond, it looked crossable, so I went for it. Turned around when the water got to my knees..... #18, Huge boom. over 11 minutes. I think I got finish fever. Came down off the hilltop and focused in on the creek. I think the path up the reentrant + hurrying + plain old being stupid led me down the creek. I kept waiting for it to turn north. Embarrassing. I probably lost 8-9 minutes on this point. I did run across a dozen wild turkeys that let me run right through the middle of them. I kept waiting for them to go "goose" on me and all attack at once. They probably didn't know I was human as I had gopher sized clumps of thistles all over me.

Note

Did anyone else find the campers just north of the control located in the far south west corner of the park? Is it legal to camp in these parks?

Running (Seagate Ridge & Lake Run) 58:00 [3] 7.5 mi (7:44 / mi)
shoes: Newtons

Can't do the Seagate Turkey Trot 5k tomorrow, so did a nice long hilly run at lunch today. Ran from Seagate to the Hyland ski jump access road, ran the ridge that defines the high points for the Hyland ski area, back down to Normandale lake and a return to Seagate. Not sure of the climb on this run. I will have to take a GPS sometime.

Fitness Ball Workout 20:00 [2]

Soccer (CSC League) 40:00 [3]

Lost 3-2. Got 1 goal and 1 assist. Justin came to play with us and was a big help. The team had an injury, so with that and half time the game seemed a little disjointed.
