Enjoyed the first few controls until my fitness caught up with me, I was also getting blisters by this point so I decided to jog/walk back at around control 11. John caught me up and I tried to stick with him for a few controls but it wasn't worth running through the blisters. Disappointing fitness today but navigation was spot on so thats something.

Loch of Boath.

Was very rusty, felt fast in the first half but bogged down after 12. Made a couple of careless mistakes and a bad route choice meaning I lost about 6min. Looking forward to tomorrow.
