Orienteering race (Loch Ordie Day 6) 46:40 [5] *** 5.6 km (8:20 / km) +210m 7:01 / km
spiked:14/16c shoes: Salomon Contagrip Fell Shoes

So Final day Loch Ordie the last day and my 2nd good run out of 4 runs that I didn't get MP'd on.

8th

*The Scottish scoring system this year puts your best 4 runs forward giving you points for position and the lowest wins*

I really pushed myself today because I had nothing to lose and I needed a very good run to do good in the circumstances. I made less than a minutes mistakes in the whole course and the only way I could have been faster is if I had started my timer when I started to push me that little bit more (I forgot because I was focussed) because when I was on the latter part of the course I thought that I was well in hand to finnish 2nd or 3rd but i was actually 3 min down on that. I might have somehow managed to run faster down the 1km -250m last section of the course but thats too many mights.

MP 55th (13th)

Solved the hip and pulled muscle problem yesterday by having a physio session at the massage place at the event, its not fixed but they gave me some stretches to do and it feels OK (They said it was because of all the running and Growing ive been doing)
My type of area fast and technical (and I have to say it- easy route choice)
I loved the controls but thought they were a bit easy and made about 3 mins of mistakes but i came close to getting MP'd when I went to the wrong ctrl at number 4 and realized half way to 5 I ended up actually getting MP'd at number 19 only 500m from the finish when I went to a similar control number (210) on a knoll 30m away from my hill (215).

I enjoyed it even if it did doom my performance at TAY to be a bad one.

Orienteering race (Tentsmuir Day 4) 1:08:51 [4] *** 7.0 km (9:50 / km) +80m 9:18 / km
spiked:20/23c shoes: Salomon Contagrip Fell Shoes

37th

Set off well but about 1km into the course I started having hip pains and problems with tight muscles forcing me to carry on the rest of the race at an uncomfortable and slightly painful jog/trot with very small steps really frustrating because I was mentally ready for this race, I only made 2 mistakes costing 5mins in all on the change between the first two vegetation changes.

So far 3 bad runs out of 4

MP 52nd (11th)

It was drizzly and sunny at the assembly but you could see the torrential rain on the event area just 1km away the whole time I had another good run because I normally do well in the rain and had an Irish orienteer (Alex Simonin) I caught up at 2 with me most of the way round so it was a fun race. I made a silly route choice error going to 7 and hesitated going to 5 costing about 5-6 minutes in all which would have put me in 3rd and I also didn't read 1 control because of the sheer amount of mud around it and ended up getting myself and alex MP'd (sorry =/) But it was great fun and thats what its all about =)

9th

I was feeling fully fit for today apart from a bad stiffness in my muscles which took a bit of working off going to the start and had a storming run feeling miles better than the two weeks before and at a peak I made 4.50 min of mistakes and a bit bashed about in the latter part of the course by hidden logs and trees.

spiked:15/17c shoes: Salomon Contagrip Fell Shoes

19th

I felt good after a rest day but knew that I wasn't fully fit and in the end decided to let myself recover but go round at a jogging pace somehow I managed to do a 7 min parallel error but otherwise it was a clean run
