Considering how the day turned out I did well weatherwise. Dry & warm.

Down to Muckross for a random enough run, hadn't a huge pile of time to play with as needed to be back.

Legs feeling ok still so happy with that.

Walking 34:38 [3] 2.96 km (11:43 / km)

Took the lads to Dinis cafe for tea, although they chose ice creams on what turned into be a miserable day.

I put their rain suits on as it was damp when we left the car so the way out to Dinis was grand, but way back was very very wet.

They both noticed the no cycling sign at the start of the road. Oscar was on his balance bike and Erik was on his scooter. I said the rules only applied to big bikes, not that all those actually obey the rules.

Sorted out battery in HR strap before setting out. Damp at times but didn’t rain too heavily. Still some wind blowing too.

Body wasn’t really feeling fantastic throughout, stopped for a top up too from some Haribo just before Dinis.

Must figure out what the construction work is after Dinis. Some mats heading across the bog, maybe towards Old Weir Bridge.

Started feeling better closer to home so effort increased. Added a bit more before finishing with a loop around Poulnaderka. Had planned on a lap of the field on the Doo Lough loop but 2 people standing in the middle of it so decided against it.

No HR. Although did ensure watch was tight to get better reading from it but haven’t looked at it. So just cycled.

Bit of wind this evening but still felt ok cycling into it. Probably from west or northerly direction.

Did this route to avoid Friday traffic in town.

Felt tired beforehand but actually better once out. Long sleeves now are a necessity.

A bit of climb today.

Had a lad walking up the hill (with poles!) and a fella walking down the hill on the steepest section of Queen's Drive after the junction. Managed to avoid them. As a result overall time wasn't too bad for the climb. Still though, average overall was lower than i'd expect. Actually after looking at the graph maybe it was the wrist rather than the strap that was in use.

Tracks a bit wet after the recent rain. At least the leak in the roof got fixed.

Ross Castle for a change.

Not a bad evening I thought until it rained for a bit! Not sure what the body is up to recently, sore throat this afternoon so took some paracetemol, debated running and said sure feck it. Don't think i'm any worse for it.

Legs behaved I think so that's a positive, just need to be running more.

Lots of deer about, small ones.

Definitely feeling a lot more interested than yesterday but suffering in other ways today. Spent the day paining the hall and had carpet to take up before I started. Body not used to manual labour!

Headwind to start with too but stayed dry. Definitely cooler too.

So some of yesterdays route with climb to finish with. Can’t say I was pushing when climbing but at least did some.

Think I’ll be glad of the rest day tomorrow, aches I’d say everywhere.
