Didn't start the watch until I left the main road to go into the park, good start! But better start was actually getting out, family around for Oscar's birthday but had the lads fed their dinner early so that left a window between food and bed time.

Lovely evening for it too, sun shining for the day.

Legs in a lot better place today too than they were yesterday so that was good. Felt like I was moving well this evening.

Did take a break after Dinis, met a lad from work and his new wife so stopped to chat to him for a few minutes, and he wasn't easy to get away from.

Got going again then and kept to the planned route. Home then just in time to put the lads to bed.

Lough Guitane - Barraduff - Killarney
Lovely afternoon for it.

Wasn't sure i'd get out today (and very unsure I will tomorrow) with Oscar's birthday party this morning but was back from Crag Caves after 12 so had lunch time to play with.

Had definite thoughts of doing more but legs cooked. So turned for Killarney in Barraduff rather than head more into East Kerry. Right decision as was tired afterwards. Still moving well enough but required effort to do so.

Short stroll around Muckross then with the lads after lunch, my legs are still suffering after Wednesday's run!

Glad I brought a jacket this evening. Put it on at Killegy House and it pretty much poured from there home. Might have gone longer if I wasn’t soaked.

Took it very handy coming down from Torc, didn’t fancy it in the wet!

Quiet on the other side of the road but weather definitely a factor there.

Had a rain jacket in the pocket as expected I might need it but managed to avoid most of the rain until the last 5-10 minutes and then since I was close to home just kept going.

Legs feeling the run yesterday, muscles not feeling great. Ok pedalling on the flat but uphill hurt a small bit.

Run home from town.

Day off for Erik’s 1st day at school, brought gear into town with me for the day but didn’t know when I was going to get a chance to use it. Finally settled on running home.

Legs mostly behaved but left knee sore afterwards, no issue running, just afterwards. Calves ok I think but road runs are doing me no favours, not that I’ve any running done this summer, not easy to think about. Have good intentions to improve things in the next 6 weeks.

Note
(rest day)

Usual Tuesday. Had a meeting after lunch in Kenmare so was sort of hopeful I’d be home early but that didn’t materialise so no time to get anything done as usual.

Better run through town today, less traffic, although more stops so time is moving rather than total time.

HR high again but was putting in some effort, didn't feel too bad doing it.

Some rain so think that motivated me to keep moving.
