M25 wasn't that much fun with around 15-20 minutes of congestion, which is probably ok for the M25. Had left plenty of time for the journey so no issues with timings. Definitely tired when I got home after the holiday, although i'm not sure I should be tired after a non-orienteering holiday!

Weather warm in the morning but cooler and damper after lunch so disappointing that the weather turned for Emilia's communion. Early start to get up from the south coast in time. Surprising how busy the motorway felt for early on a Saturday, not that it was busy for UK standards.

Brownhill Inclosure (New Forest)

Out early but still met a few people out walking/running. No real plan apart from where I was parking so made it up as I went along. Mainly big tracks with a few short sections of smaller paths.

Not moving fast and the main thing was that calf held up after 2 runs in 3 days. Next run will probably be on Monday all going well.

Was still warm at this hour of the day. Got a touch of sunburn later on Bournemouth Beach, Mary said it was quiet but busiest beach I’ve been to I reckon.

Paulton Park was today’s main event which is the home of Peppa Pig World.

Less steps than Legoland as it’s more condensed which was good. Also rented a double buggy to stop the war over who sat in the single buggy.

Lads definitely enjoyed it including the few faster rides we went on, lads both did the same rollercoasters. I also got to go on a couple of rollercoasters on my own.

Random around New Milton. Looked for some trails/green and sort of linked them together. Didn’t have time to drive to a better option. Not that I’d put much thought into where I was going to run.

Main thing is that I wasn’t in pain during it. Don’t think the calf is fixed, need to be careful and keep working on it. Keeping speed slow too.

Drove down from London this morning and stopped for a stroll around Alice Holt forest where there is a Gruffalo. Didn’t bother with the Superworm trail in the end.

Good few steps today, at Legoland Windsor :-)

Was a hot day too.

Lads were happy with the rides they went on when they weren’t fighting over the buggy!

Erik just about tall enough for 1 of the rollercoasters, Oscar slightly too short, was wondering if I’d regret bringing him on but think he enjoyed it, I did.

Summer Holidays

In England until Sunday so plans include Legoland and Peppa Pig World!

Will run on Wednesday and Friday if I’m ok after Wednesday. Then maybe something Sunday evening when we get home.

Overall it’ll be a light week training wise but do have my 2 to keep on the straight and narrow…
