Walking 1:23:23 [3] 7.79 km (10:42 / km)
ahr:89 max:127 (rest day) shoes: New Balance 890 v6

Feeling better today so think this was just a blip, anything major avoided. Will take it easy until Tuesday to give body a chance to recover.

Also painter told us yesterday that he’s coming to do the kitchen tomorrow! Short notice, have no paint for him...

Took Erik out for his nap before lunch. Bit of a meltdown getting him into his pram, tired I suspect, but got him in and started walking. He slept through the hailstones. Park was jammed with people out walking or cycling. Traffic in town was very busy too for some reason, no idea where people could have been going.

(rest day)

Didn’t feel great when I woke up, throat iffy and also tired. But improved as the day went on.

Bit of a sore throat, not desperate, so going to take it easy today and i'll assume over the weekend to let it clear. Getting something isn't unexpected given patient 0 has a cold and so does patient 0 + 1. Also sleep is rubbish recently so not helping. I'm actually amazed that i've managed to get some training done in the last few weeks.

Trails/Road 43:39 [3] 9.01 km (4:51 / km) +80m 4:38 / km
ahr:157 max:176 shoes: New Balance 890 v6

Only got a light shower of rain, missed a really heavy one just before I got started.

Not feeling great for some reason. Right calf a small bit iffy but didn't affect the run. Think I ran at a faster pace than I wanted.

Mary drive past me as I approached the car park to finish so knew I would only be home a few minutes after them.

Had a meeting after work, AGM of the work social club. Managed to not get a job. There is a job I do want to get at some stage but not available, person who's responsible for the draws.

Ross Castle

For a change of scenery. Thought legs might be a bit more tired but they were fine at the pace I ran at. Think I need to slow it down despite legs feeling ok. So can’t complain really.

Nice evening too weather wise, didn’t bother with gloves.

Didn’t get the work test text last night, I’m assuming it means I’m not ‘key staff’, so might get to stay home rather than having to go into work should the situation change.

Wasn't looking forward to this on the way home. Tired. But actually went better than expected given the circumstances. Need a bit more sleep too but a couple of kids not co-operating.

Weird yesterday watching a few minutes of biathlon from Novo Mesto (JWOC Relay 2000) to see empty stands.
