Killarney

Pushed Erik around in his normal buggy, so we walked it. Time and distance includes walk from the in-laws and back there afterwards. We were 103 minutes for the course and have been included in the results.

Not in the shape to run myself and even though I walked I’m not sure in retrospect if it was a good idea.

Routes mostly chosen to suit buggy. Would have done some differently if running.

Mentally it was tough after a DNF on the 1st control. It was in the middle of a field and too public for me to abandon Erik in the pram!!! So made the conscious decision to skip.

No issues as had plenty of time to plan ahead. With SIAC control flow wasn’t bad with a buggy.

Did have a wait between 8-9 as a car was illegally parked on the footpath. The passenger waved crutches at me so I thought fair enough if you are in trouble and need to be dropped off. But it wasn’t him getting out, car had other passengers.

More work today on the kitchen taking out the sink and the unit it sat on top of. A few other bits too. Then helped the electrician do some of the chasing for the new wiring. Chisel and hammer knocking out. It wasn't fun. Also very dusty which I don't think was helpful for my lungs.

Took Erik out for a walk to get him to sleep. Thought i might have been demolishing more of the kitchen today but lack of tradesmen an issue. Spent first half hour on hold ringing the passport office, my new passport is on the missing list! Not that i've any plans to use it.

Tired this evening but physical afternoon starting taking out the kitchen. Got what I planned done and also did a good job of clearing out the crap from the shed into the skip.

New kitchens are painful. Problems with appliances and to top it all off the chap that was going to sort the gas is on holidays! He had ample opportunity to warn us about that but didn't!!!

Starting to feel better. Didn't do much today. Started packing up some stuff in the kitchen in the evening and watched a good bit of telly.

Feels like a Sunday.

Note

Tried to get a doctor appointment for today but they would only have been taking emergency appointments if made this morning. Not feeling as bad as yesterday. So didn't ring the doctor.

Did venture out for a stroll downtown in the afternoon.
