Wasn’t sure what to do today for a few reasons but had to do something on what is a lovely day. Right calf feeling ok this morning so decided to take it for a short run in town. No issues when running :-)

Kept the pace slow enough to be safe and worked out ok.

Lots of people put in the sun.

Beaufort Area - Faha

Nice morning so tried the road bike for a change. Could do with getting a new pair of tights, put on a 3/4 pair of running tights under the cycling shorts to keep the knees warm and that worked nicely. Also wore new overshoes and they were fine, essentially big socks, harder to get on but kept the feet warm.

Avg speed to be expected for the time of the year. Lungs not under pressure but HR is ok for this distance. Lumpy spin of sorts.

Tired afterwards but not so much towards the end, had something left. Glad I took the gel after the hour, it was needed. Could feel my calf a small bit but not when cycling.

Dampish sort of evening, overcast but cleared towards the end. Wasn’t that wet from the sky but on the ground it was, coming up off the ground, no mud guards. Needed to get some fresh air, head a bit fried from work.

Right calf not feeling great after yesterday’s run. Tight.

Saw a red squirrel.

Took in Cardiac for the laugh. Wasn't too bad. But have a couple of minutes to find to get the KOM back, not that I was trying for it this evening, more going to see the hill. Got the HR up though. Looks like it's been 3 years since the last time I climbed it!

Also didn't tape my ankles, went over on the left one along the path back towards Torc after the climb. Felt I needed the light so didn't bother, just got going, was also drizzling a bit when I was getting ready.

Not a bad evening for a run.

Took in some MTB tracks on the way back down with a tiny bit of cross country. Ankle mostly ok with it.

Body feeling much better this evening, running didn't feel robotic, and was grand near the end too, the hill hadn't done too much damage.

Note
(rest day)

Was tired this evening, sleep hasn't been great this week, so a rest day not a bad thing. Some internet back at work but I wouldn't say it's fully restored.

Quads very tired after last couple of days. Felt very much robotic running this evening. Plodding along for the sake of it, no bounce in the legs due to the tiredness.

Bit of drizzLe. Plenty of deer around.

Log is looking vacant this week in terms of text, been lazy in terms of updating on the phone. Internet has been ‘off line’ for the last 2 days for unknown reasons at work, i.e. something happened but they are keeping quiet about it!

Lovely day today. Blue skies. So had a nice spin on the bike.

Legs tired after yesterday’s run, quads sore. But cycling felt alright. Need to have HR on the display, can swap distance for HR. I know this bike needs effort so need some feedback on how much I’m putting in.
