Chilly morning but lovely day to be out on the bike. Could maybe have done with a lighter jacket or 1 less layer underneath.

Despite it being a nice day my body didn't feel like it was co-operating. Could feel my breakfast (porridge) in my stomach, felt like I was on the verge of a stitch at times. Did manage to keep the HR where I wanted on the Ladies View climb, still a slow time, but I suppose that's to be expected for this time of year. Looking at the HR, it's not necessarily low so must have been at least putting some bit of an effort in.

Did meet a few bikes coming against me, but none going my direction.

Nose feeling a bit blocked up, but not blocked up enough to not smell the goats. They really do stink.

Ozark S01 E01

Trying a different series although still keeping with the drug theme of sorts.

Definitely more of a struggle today to get this done, could feel the extra 8 minutes with this tv series. No harm in the extra time though.

El Chapo S01 E02

Only started watching 6 minutes in!

Felt like I was pedalling alright, not too much of a struggle.

(rest day)

Pushed the lawnmower around, got it back from being repaired and with Storm Callum coming tonight it made sense to do this. Achilles only ok walking.

Dinis and home via Mangerton Road

Have had a rough couple of days sleep wise, brain had shut down by 4 this afternoon. Also very windy today but was sunny. So rather than having to fight the wind on the road bike I felt a spin on the MTB would be more fun.

Some windy stretches alright, worst was on the open area near Mangerton. But other than that the only issues were a few small branches on the tracks and one slightly bigger one in Muckross that I rode over. Considering the number of broken bones amongst my colleagues at work (ankle & toe) the thought of flying over the handlebars did enter my head.

No HR on the watch screen but happy with the average. I am pedalling a bike that weighs a ton.

Walking less painful today, limp not as noticeable.

Note

Left foot is not happy this morning. Ankle/foot still sore after yesterday with achilles is very unhappy. Hard to know exactly how much though because of soreness associated with ankle.

Monday - Bike
Tuesday - Rest
Wednesday - Sunday - Bike

No running I suspect.

El Chapo S01 E01

Went from one series with Pablo Escobar to another with him in it but set in a different at the same time.

Legs feeling a bit tired before they warmed up but ok then.

Main issue was getting off the bike. Left ankle was very sore to clip out. It’s one of those things where you know it’ll hurt but couldn’t stay on the bike forever.
