Note
(sick)

Throat bad overnight, it's the main issue, cold not that bad, just a sore throat. Treated it overnight.

Taking it east today, no cross country, not able.

Wondering about work tomorrow, not sure I want to take a sick day, but with a hurricane coming it might not be a bad idea!

Note
(sick) (rest day)

Woke up with a sore throat and a bit of a cold.
Still went to parkrun to help out, good crowd, CIT AC visiting.

Went to bed early, tired, and Strictly Come dancing followed by X-Factor not enough to tempt me to stay up longer.

Turbo Trainer 1:05:37 [3]

Avg Cadence = 94rpm

Game of Thrones S06 E10

That's the end of this series. Wasn't expecting it to go on for 10 minutes longer than usual, would have been fine after 50 minutes, but the extra 10 took its toll. Was very sweaty.

Think Achilles is starting to feel better but hard to know for certain with the burn.

Note

20 year anniversary today.
So that's probably 30,000 injections at this stage...

Circuits 48:46 [3]
shoes: Adidas Supernova Black (2015)

3 circuits

Only 8 showed up this evening so a station each.

1st circuit was longer than usual.

Achilles mostly ok apart from on the running exercise.

Note
(rest day)

In Cork today so no time for training.

Did have a good fry for breakfast, not something I have that often. Suppose it made up for missing dinner.

Achilles sore.

Knockreer

Left achilles not in good shape, sore while running. Right calf felt a bit niggly but it was the Achilles where all the hurt was coming from. At least I've physio booked for next week now.

Still a few stags around with their groups of ladies.

Put an ice pack on the Achilles when I got in, which subsequently resulted in a freeze burn to the area. Smarts!

shoes: Spiuk ZS11

Risked the weather and it paid off, not too bad out and about. Thought legs were tired enough starting out but built into it. Happy enough with how they felt.

Road works have started on the bridge on Muckross Road, stop/go system with traffic lights, not sure how long that inconvenience will last.

Numerous ignorant drivers out this evening too, worst of them probably at the cinema on my way home, decided to ignore the yield sign and pull out in front of me. Made it home in one piece!
