Had considered getting on the bike, on the road rather than indoors, really nice day, but with the calf feeling bad I decided to stay at the DIY, was up late last night at it. Tried my hand at tiling, I won't be taking it up professionally anytime soon (or painting for that matter either).

Nice job downhill to parkrun, looked like another good crowd despite OT finishing last week. No real issues on the warm-up.

Killarney parkrun - FAIL

Started out with a fast 1k but then could feel left calf in trouble, then it started to get worse so decided that was that, no big bang, just a gradual increase in pain.

Stopped up and decided since the shortest way home was against the runners I went cross country to begin with.

Wasn't a painfree run home, didn't enjoy it at all.

Feeling tired so deciding to be lazy this evening. Thought Wednesday would do as a rest day considering it wasn't that tiring, but taking a full one today.

Circuits 49:31 [2]
ahr:131 max:171 slept:7.27 shoes: Adidas Supernova (2015)

Not sure I put as much intensity as I would have liked in this evening but I was trying. Smaller numbers at the class this evening.

3 circuits.

Definitely on the 2nd circuit the 1st couple of stations were 1 minute rather than 45 seconds which was tough since Burpees and Bear crawl was where I started. I like to plan the circuit to suit me, if there are a hard couple of stations together then start there, so try for an easier end to the circuit. Have more energy to go at the tough ones harder. At least that's my thinking anyways.

Core was tough but got there. Need to get back into the habit of doing some during the week too but need to settle into a routine first.

Bluepool

Checking the map for the Scouts event i'm organising there on Sunday week. Added in a few new small MTB tracks just to make things more interesting. Calf not feeling too bad when moving. Probably should have run some more but that would not have ended well.

Was chatting to one of the lads at work today wondering if I was doing the Lacey Cup, got me thinking, but no way i'll do it.

Golf Course & Demesne

Same route as last week. Pace under control, didn't feel under pressure.

Left calf is still tight after the weekend which is annoying. Gave it a good foam rolling later on, and iced it after the run.

Nice evening for a run, sun shining. Plenty of people out and about.

Session went fine, was warm in the room, but that's the consequence of a proper heating system!
