Quick run around the orange course to see if the controls were still there, I don't like leaving controls in visible locations out overnight but they were all fine. Also put up a couple of bits of tape by fallen trees early in the course to help people through. Turns out only 2 did the orange course!

Collected 1 control too, I left a control on the All Controls map that wasn't used by any of the courses which I kinda figured out when I put it out.

Orienteering 1:24:13 [2] 7.7 km (10:56 / km) +246m 9:26 / km
ahr:133 max:161 24c

My dad did some gathering along the road of a few controls at the start, then I met him again half way through to hand over the first bunch, and then went for the last few controls. Was happy with my speed collecting. But nearly made a silly mistake collecting, made much more sense to do what I did near the end, getting the 2 to the right before the 1 in the green, much less of a dog leg in doing that.

Was a bit apprehensive before the event, wasn't happy with the amount of time I spent in the forest checking the area. All worked out ok in the end and people enjoyed themselves. Plenty of tired people at the finish but the area is tough. But maybe I got things wrong if the only course where 10min/km was broken was the Red course.

1st run from the new house, downhill to Muckross for parkrun. Wasn't sure how long exactly it would take but added some extra running to lessen amount of time hanging around. Weather better than I expected.

Road tempo 18:26 [4] 4.85 km (3:48 / km) +39m 3:39 / km

2 laps, 16 controls the 1st time and 15 the second. Would have helped to have tagged the sites so some controls I spent more time over than others.

Was definitely feeling tired towards the end, suffering after running this morning and carrying stakes also tiring. Arms tired, but think they might still be suffering after Circuits.

Circuits

3 circuits of 10 stations. Last circuit was tough but happy with my effort this evening, tried not to slack off.

Core after the 2nd circuit was fun as usual.

Golf Course & Knockreer

A run i've done a few times recently which I lengthened to 10k before getting back to St Brendans.

Much better pacing this evening, not as fast as Monday, so better control. Legs feeling ok so can't complain about that.

Got an update on my shower problem, plumber found the problem. It was an issue with the drain pipe, it doesn't go anywhere, just stops at the wall. Some clowns clearly built it, but the previous owner must never have used it.

P key starting to cause trouble on the laptop now, I really need a new one.

Breaking Bad S02 E01
Thought there'd be more than 7 episodes in Series 1, but there are 13 in Series 2.

Last few minutes were tough but got through it.

New bike set up is grand, but need to be careful with cycling shoes on the floor and also the proximity of the mirror which is leaning against the wall, won't go on the wall until I suppose it gets painted.

After losing a bit of structure at the moment.

Unlikely i'll do early turbo sessions this week, not even sure about tomorrow yet, need to get the bike set up somewhere in the house for that to happen. Must get that sorted this evening when I get back from Cork.

Monday - Running (no idea where apart from it'll be in Cork, and at around 4-4.30)
Tuesday - Turbo Trainer
Wednesday - Running
Thursday - Circuits
Friday - Turbo Trainer
Saturday - Running (parkrun) & Orienteering (controls out for Seefin)

Trails/Road 42:44 [3] 9.21 km (4:38 / km) +27m 4:34 / km
ahr:148 max:162 shoes: Adidas Supernova Black (2015)

Just went home and did laps of the community centre pitches on the walking trail there, they've put some new gravel down since Christmas.

Think I ran faster than I wanted to, consciously tried to slow but didn't really happen, although did feel tired heading back home.

Where did all the people out walking in Whitechurch come from, maybe because the population of the village has increased so much since I used to run around here could explain it.

Lovely afternoon for a run.
