Note
slept:9.36 (rest day)

Started my 2 day shopping trip in Kildare Village. So that hurt my wallet a bit, decided the timing was right to get a new suit, my 2nd ever!

Note
slept:9.1 (rest day)

Sticking with the rest plan.

Lot of work on the house today, demolishing a wardrobe. Got most of it down but last section has a light which was over the sink, taking out a light is something I don't want to attempt. Discovered damp behind the wardrobe so that wasn't a pleasant surprise!

Note
slept:8.1 (rest day)

Decided that taking a break would be a sensible thing to do.

Went to see Jason Byrne in the INEC this evening so exercised my laughing muscles. He came onto the stage skipping, liked his method of skipping, has potential for mischief.

Turbo Trainer 30:07 [2]
ahr:125 max:138 slept:7.29

Avg Cadence = 89rpm

Feeling less tired waking up this morning so hopefully starting to get used to these early mornings.

I did message 3e on facebook the other day regarding Uploaded but they've not got back to me!
5 PM

Circuits 42:15 [3] 1.62 km (26:10 / km)
ahr:120 max:170

Circuits

Started again. Missing the warm up from the time. Took it easy on the running parts to mind calf. Also could feel it most doing mountain climbers.

Mary joined this class too, going to to be interesting to see what state she's in tomorrow and Saturday. She was talking about taking some neurofen to dull the pain.

Been giving some thought to what Roar said earlier. Think it would help to take a break, not like the Achilles hasn't been causing trouble too. So will concentrate on extra stretching and core work. Will mean putting my early morning turbo sessions on hold. Circuits would be part of the plan next week but return date unknown.

Turbo Trainer 30:09 [2]
ahr:128 max:142 slept:7.48

Avg Cadence = 89rpm

Ended up doing some DIY after work while the boiler man was having a look at the heating. Was tired later so didn't bother with turbo.

Some New Girl this morning, hadn't seen it in a while.
5 PM

Trails 49:33 [3] 9.83 km (5:03 / km) +277m 4:25 / km
ahr:147 max:166 shoes: Inov X-Talon (Blue)

Usual route but stopped early.

Most of the run felt ok but right calf went on the hill up home, just at the finish, was behaving more or less until then. So walked the rest of the way. Depressed again. Was thinking about running at the weekend but will just cycle until next week some stage. Considering more physio as an option but won't making any hasty decisions on that.

Right achilles was sore starting off.

Overall it wasn't the most enjoyable of runs. Time was going to be slow. Wet and miserable evening, with the more open areas even less pleasant. The tracks were also wetter than recent runs so that was another factor to slow things down, but think the main reason was motivation, although body felt ok, my head wasn't really too interested.

Turbo Trainer 30:11 [2]
ahr:133 max:148 slept:7.39

Avg Cadence = 90rpm

Light sleep seems to be winning over deep sleep at the moment.

I'm happy with the effort this morning. These sessions are a struggle in so many ways to do. Thinking the most serious side affect is trying to stay awake driving to work.

Not sure if i'll get my planning 2nd turbo session of the day done later but I did realise this morning that by doing these morning sessions that if something comes up in the evening at least i've something done for the day.

Turbo Trainer 30:08 [2]
ahr:128 max:138 slept:7.56

Avg Cadence = 90rpm

Cadence not too bad considering legs were feeling tired and found this generally to be a struggle. Really wondering why I am putting myself through this, not torture, but just getting up early.

Note

Time to make a plan for the week:

Will for a 3rd week of turbo pre-breakfast.

Monday - Physio
Tuesday - Turbo Trainer
Wednesday - Running
Thursday - *Circuits (forgot i'd signed up for this)
Friday - Turbo Trainer
Saturday - Running
Sunday - Running

This plan is based on my legs being ok to run after seeing the physio so might need to revisit this plan later depending on what she says. Saturday i'd like to do parkrun again but will see. Sunday's run is a maybe, heading towards Leinster at some stage.
5 PM

Physio 1:00:00 [0]

Fun times at the physio. Both calves not in great shape but presuming this session will help them. Wasn't pleasant.

Leaving I bumped into a woman who was in next. She said "I hope you took a lot out of her?", I had to laugh at that comment. I replied in the affirmative!
