Still not right, i'm thinking now that I won't be training tomorrow. Possibly might pack my gear though and then decide during the day. Will text James and see if he wants to try out his new Inov8s.

About time I wrote up WOC and training prior to WOC in France...

Still not right, was hoping for more improvement but maybe tomorrow. Bit pissed that I won't be cycling in Waterford tomorrow but feeling the way I do today I know that I'm not able to do so. Did enter my clubs sportive this morning, on sept 17th, to make me feel better. No training tomorrow, so hopefully Monday I can manage an easy run.

Not sure whether to add the hours I spent sleeping during the day yesterday to todays sleep or yesterdays?

Still feeling a bit off, but pain in shoulder isn't as bad. Did come in to work today, mainly because I didn't have a cert and didn't want hassle with regards sending a form to social welfare for sick pay. Will see how long I last...

Had a bad night, woke up with a very sore back, around my left shoulder somewhere. Had trouble sleeping as a result, finding a comfortable position. So went to the doctor and called in sick at work. Doc reckons that I may have picked up a bit of a virus due to being run down. Will have to take it easy for next few days and no trip to Waterford on Sunday:-(

Feeling a bit off form this morning. So could be another day off training. Will see later what I feel like, but no point in trying to kill myself.

2pm Definitely resting tonight, body not feeling good.

Cycling tonight, thinking of the Short Mountain but not sure which way to approach it, might just head up the Castlemaine Road, then head up from the south side. If I've time and feel up to it I may climb it from the north side too after descending, for the laugh. I need to practice hills for September.

Note
(rest day)

After considering that I may be more run-down than I feel, it's better that I rest today and then do the cycle I planned for today tomorrow night instead, before club cycle on Thursday.

Back into the land of AP after being in France the last couple of weeks with limited computer access and even worse internet access.

Not sure on what training i'll do this week but driving back from Cork this morning i'd an urge to run around Glanageenty after work. I should be able to find some running gear, clean too, in my bag.

Main goal should be preparation for waterford next Sunday and the Sean Kelly cycle thing.

Pleased with time tonight, I did push harder than usual by trying to increase the pace when I could and then took the hills at a nice controlled pace. Lungs struggled at times, particuularly on the 1st hill on the 2nd lap for some reason, but that feeling passed.

Nice evening so was able to run in a t-shirt, still colder than night time in Aix.

Noticed a new sign on the marker posts this evening. Still green arrows, then the blue arrows are titled "John Lenihan Loop" and a new purple arrow says "Brother Bernard Loop". Not sure where the blue and purple paths will split, didn't notice any new paths joining up the main path. One of the purple signs, the last one in the filed was covered over though so maybe the path will go higher into fields on the N side of the road. I suppose time will tell. Would be nice to have some extra running in the area.
