Orienteering 1:10:00 [1] **** 3.72 km (18:49 / km) +100m 16:35 / km
ahr:95 max:135 slept:8.0 (sick) shoes: VJ Falcons 10

Stroll around Tír na Spideoige. Distance includes 500m back on road to the car. All of day was spent walking. Still sick so running out of the question. Very cloudy/foggy, some sun would have been nice, but would have been ideal running conditions. Area has been burned this spring, well not all the area, but a good bit of it. The burned areas are incredibly fast for walking on so running must be great on them! Definitely coming back soon.

Probably a small bit better but not convinced i'll be better by tomorrow. I really do think the drugs I have are crap, used them a year ago and they were crap then too.

Physio was not fun, my sick body couldn't handle it. She did find that my trouble from circuits 2 weeks ago had caused damage in the abductor area. Nothing serious but it hurt. Hip flexors are not in good shape, left worse than right, and also left quad a bit on the tight side. She was happy with hamstrings and calves.

Body still sick today, drugs may be working, will know tomorrow for sure if I have improved.

Won't be running tomorrow and fingers crossed for Sunday. It's turning into a balls of a weekend from what was looking to be a class weekend:-(

slept:7.5 (sick) (rest day)

Felt a slight cold before going to bed last night so took some panadol and vit c. Not feeling better today, worse, feel a bit like a few weeks ago so slightly concerned for my chest. Hoping for an improvement tomorrow or else the weekend is in trouble.

So not training today as a precaution, and I don't feel up to it anyway.

Circuits 31:00 [4]
ahr:133 max:178 shoes: Mizuno Waverider 13

Quieter this evening, only 6 bodies for 2nd circuit and 7 for the 1st. Not as tough with the exercises but longer reps, 45secs per station. Pleased with effort this evening.

We then did some core exercises, they hurt the tummy a bit but needed to be done.

Had to explain to the trainer what orienteering was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Circuits warm up/down 16:00 [1]
ahr:106 max:139 slept:8.0

More gay aerobics to start off with. I can co-ordinate my legs and arms for running on terrain but doing these exercises are a struggle.

Warm-down also included, 50% of time, so some stretching to finish off with.
6 PM

Turbo Trainer 23:08 [3]
ahr:128 max:134

Avg Cadence = 82rpm

Hopped up on the trainer for a small bit after circuits, just to do a bit more and some aerobic stuff. Read a book while pedalling.
11 PM

Note

Weekend is looking good, hill training in Currabinny saturday morning followed by o training on Tir na Spideoige on Sunday morning.

Also will be running on my own tomorrow, so must decide where to run, Tonevane or Glanageenty.

Avg Cadence = 82rpm

Started off with a resistance of 2 then I increased it to 3 after 20mins. Body felt alright today. A few sore bits, knees, calves, hip but nothing serious! Sent physio a text earlier so hoping for an appointment on Friday since that's a planned rest day.

Started watching Transformers.
