Orienteering race 1:22:20 [4] **** 9.1 km (9:03 / km) +412m 7:23 / km
ahr:176 max:185 shoes: VJ Falcons 08

Needed to compete today to be eligible for Munster League. After the 10k the day before the legs were tired and the achilles was sore before I started. Felt ok when I started running but a really bad mistake at the 5th control where I lost around 4 mins didn't help. Ran the rest of the course well but was really tired towards the end. Went for a paddle in the Atlantic afterwards to cool the achilles.

Road race 40:59 [5] 10.0 km (4:06 / km) +340m 3:30 / km
ahr:182 max:189 shoes: Mizuno Waverider 10

10k fun run, plan was to run 50 mins making that 5 min km's. That didn't happen. The first 3km of the race are uphill, no break. Started off easy enough and as I went up the hill I could see there were only a few people in front of me, that kept me going up the hill where I was able to keep a steady enough pace. Was 5th to the top and then passed out the lad in front of me on another sharp uphill before the descent began. Steady pace on the 7km descent but achilles started to hurt with 3km to go, threw some water from a water station on the leg to ease the pain. Finished in 4th but wasn't a serious road runners race. Was in a bit of pain for the rest of the evening.

Cycling 59:00 [3] 22.39 km (2:38 / km)

Includes 2 stops to pump rear tyre which was going flat, that took around 4-6mins. Completely flat around 500m from home so walked it.
