Swim 51:35 [3] 2.5 km (20:38 / km)

I went swimming and coincidentally met Róisín and Mike in Poolside! Small chat and catch up, really great to have her back! This swim was tougher mentally than the previous ones mainly because I didn't have much to think about. The last 500m were especially tough as I transitioned from swimming to just trying to get to the end! I think that will probably be the distance cap on swims from now on. Good to get the exercise in before pints with the lads though!

In contrast to the last few rides, this felt like a real grind and only eased mentally in the last 30 minutes. I did the Crone-Glendoo-Kilternan route. There were a few times on the climbs where I could drift off daydreaming which was nice, but on the most part a struggle to get it done. I feel good after though which is always the main thing!

Cycling 1:43:36 [3] 40.38 km (2:34 / km)

I just did the extended Johnnie Fox's loop in the nice sunshine. I kept it pretty chilled at the start and at the beginning of the climb. Then a proper cyclist, in full kit, passed me so I pushed to get back on his wheel and then passed him when he got scared of a stray mini peacock and practically stopped! Stayed ahead of him to the top of the climb and then he just sat on my wheel to Johnnie Fox's. I don't think I've ever been out of the saddle as much as this on the climb before and it felt absolutely amazing to push hard! This ride actually flew by and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am really enjoying all of my training at the moment which is something that feels so good to say!
