Bummer. Set off for a long run (16km) which I was looking forward to as an indicator of where the legs are at and because I had planned another nice route along the coast.

After about 2km the arch of my left foot became uncomfortable when landing, like on Thursday. But then it quickly worsened and I couldn't really run on it. Stopped for 2 minutes and massaged the arch of the foot. Didn't help.

Walked for about 15 minutes and then jogged another 1km just to get more feedback on the feeling & pain. Surprisingly didn't feel it at all at first but then it came back after 5 minutes or so.

Kind of surprising, especially in the left foot, as I had started some foot/ankle mobility and strength and noticed improvements in my big toe mobility and sole stretch. I do remember feeling I was pushing the sole stretch a bit too far on the left side, may just have strained something. But not sure what the issue is so will have to do some research/experiment a bit.

A week of cycling and rehab at home I presume and we'll see where we're at.

Legs not bad but dropping hints. Some feelings around the knees and sole of left foot quite tight and sensitive to rocks under the shoe.

I have been focusing on the mobility on hip days a bit more recently which is helping other areas but the strength stuff (clamshells etc) are what helped the knee around 3 weeks ago.

So back to strength on the hips tonight and rest tomorrow should do nicely.

8km steady. Felt a bit flat in the first half and then better in the second half. Legs pretty good, hips a little tight during the warm down. Got a little hungry during it too.
