Planned a nice route along the coast. Had planned steady but was pretty tired starting out. After seeing the third k was 4:15 decided to keep it up. Around 15km my right hamstring and glute were pretty tired so just jogged the rest. Very warm out which was mad.

In Galicia for the weekend so did the usual short run out to La Marosa and back along the coast. Had Triana with me.
My right heel was uncomfortable today, not so much on the run, but in general. It’s what I had at the start of the year, the calf/soleus are weak and the lower calf/Achilles becomes tight and inelastic. Surprising after a week off but I haven’t done the exercises in a while.

Around a week for the cold and cough to shift, seems I always get something similar once a winter. Last year I trained through it and ended up without a voice. Wasn’t going to make the same mistake this year.

Took summer out on la senda verde towards Oviedo. Pleasant.

Hip exercises. Being stricter at just doing enough for the glute to burn and to avoid other muscles compensating.
