Now that my goal for the weekend was accomplished it was time to start the recovery in earnest. No running although the relay in Tollymore looked like great fun. Awesome weekend, good training, great people.

Shadowing Trine around Meelmore. The terrain up in the Mournes is just beautiful, so nice to run through. I felt comfortable with the map too and my calf wasn't at me too much.

Route
Meelmore area through Hare's Gap and onto Slieve Donard. I was really excited for this run and getting up to Donard for the first time. It turned out not to be as enjoyable as I had hoped due to my calf getting bad at the foot of Donard. I was determined to get up though. Hopefully I won't pay too dearly for that but coming back the pain was not too bad and quite consistent. I was feeling strong again though in general. I think I'll look to keep the hill training up but drop back on the miles a bit in the coming weeks and see how that compares.

700m down to 100m. I didn't prepare well and my stomach was a little uncomfortable towards the end of the longer reps. Could have been worse and nice to run faster than usual. I'm glad the session was short.
