Hiking 3:30:00 [1] 18.45 km (11:23 / km) +618m 9:45 / km
My take on "1 hour cross training" :)
With Jackson. Planned route was somewhere around 15km. The first 12km were fine, trails were nice. But then the trail just ran out, completely overgrown like nobody had been there for years. Strange as it is supposedly a defined hike, I actually saw a billboard detailing the route about 200m before the trail became impassable.
Had to turn back and it was pretty far around which meant more distance and the last few kms in the dark. Fortunately I had packed a head torch. Fun anyway but was pretty tired after.
Foot was good. Hips feeling like they were working on the climb which was nice, had done some hip work earlier in the day which might have accentuated it. But still some tightness around my adductors I still haven't figured out.
Reminder to always check satellite / heat maps, might have copped the route wasn't feasible. You often get trails on maps that are overgrown / gone and trails not on maps that are there and really nice.
