Kayaking 29:29 [1] 0.93 mi (31:42 / mi)

Turee Pond kayak with Beth around 6p - first time, wished we’d made an April date. Nice breeze, no bugs, peaceful. This beaver lodge is the highest we've seen anywhere - est. 6' above water surface. I try to picture a beaver putting the final shingles on his/her roof.

Road/trail 48:05 [2] 3.89 mi (12:22 / mi) +68m 11:44 / mi

Run home from BHS, mucky still in a few places and lots of mosquitoes in others.

Sorry to miss the Mt. Tom meet but didn’t feel I have the time (200+ mi in the car etc). Got quite a bit done here in way of boat work; also got a chain saw started (no small feat) & cut some long-standing bent over trees - satisfying to have that behind. Yard is finally coming around. Orienteers leave everything behind, get in a car or on a plane to go play in the woods...and then return, and guess what, nothing got done. I've occasionally considered taking a fall or spring off but never seem to manage.

Trail/woods running 1:08:10 intensity: (30:00 @1) + (38:10 @2) 3.1 mi (21:57 / mi) +100m 19:57 / mi

Nottingcook around 5p - took a look at other possibilities for Tuesday's OLLI walk. Lots of mosquitoes for company; no ATVs or shooters though I would guess Saturday pm/eve is the mostly likely time for "destructionists".

This guy was my best sighting...

Road/trail 44:00 intensity: (22:00 @1) + (22:00 @2) 2.5 mi (17:36 / mi)

Late PM get-going-or-else, from boat work & before Pete & Mel & kids showed up. Along Stoneybrook and then the woods connector to Parsons & back on Allen. Being in the woods proved a balm to the recent busyness w/o end in sight. Too little 'running' since WP. Consistency, training in this case, can slip thru the cracks for any number of bonafide reasons.

Road/trail 1:09:14 [2] 4.0 mi (17:19 / mi) +85m 16:14 / mi

From S. Bow kiosk for the OLLI walk next week scoping out the hike as leader. Figured on 2 mi, have about 2.4 presently. Woods in "chlorophyll dazzle". Simply spring, looking toward Monadnock.
4 PM

Road running 31:45 [3] 2.66 mi (11:55 / mi) +124m 10:25 / mi

Back to get car. Still cool, breezy, nice.
