Macclesfield urban chasing sprint been to macclesfield loads of times to teggs nose the forest and the football ground to watch crewe and driving though quite often but never been in the town so was interesting! just started raining as i was about to start then the rain increased from half way to finish slowing me down a little

2.8k

got 1 fine played safe, 2 was fine just having to plan it out, 3 simple and 4, 5 around and up, 6 straight fast, 7 fine, 8 fine, 9 was good going well well and good flow in and out of the controls, 10 was fine nearly went down wrong street at the main junction but looking down it didnt fit the image in my head so knew straight away, 11 fine and 12 leading at this point over that pretty good M21 by 14 seconds and 30 seconds on ownes, 13 lost 30 seconds here, 14 fine, 15 fine 16 short leg to catch you out and little route choice then ran past the last control which was sort off hidden by the wall but should have read my descriptions! lost 25 seconds there so should have won really :/

Orienteering race 21:54 [5] 5.5 km (3:59 / km)
spiked:17/19c shoes: New Balence Road Shoe

chase on some large housing estate and tiny bit at the start on some "park" some a massive marsh! then the last little bit in the school a 1:2000 map.

1 was fine but shocked cus i was expecting as you coundnt see it from the start then up the hill for a while keep looking back to see where owens was from -1 minute on me, 2 was fine now finally my started too work! and the speed came to me and get a good flow going and was planning ahead really well and picked a really good route to 4 when most people took the longer route which was about 30 seconds slower, round to 5 at this point had ran parrell in the oppistion direction with my +2 and 3 runners ben and alex. but i took a differnt route to 6 to them but the tempation was there to go there way and speed up and hunt them but i took what i found a "better" route and kept to myself. had ben in my clear view at 7 then took him at 8 then alex was in clear view and i had him at 9 but then exiting to 10 i went down the alley before mine as i saw others going down on other courses but soon reliased but lost about 50 seconds here which would have gave me the win from the carl on the fianl course, think i messed the start of the route to 10 up abit because i was catching people and was less focused on navigtaion and the pace increased slighty. 11 and 12 fine. then at the road crossing me alex ben the M21 guy and some M21 tvoc guy and you were aloud a minute and everyone was waiting and waiting for someone to start so i went then they all rushed after on the part 2 school map, messed up 1 tiny bit +5 seconds 2,3,4,5,6,7,8 of the school map all fine, just twisting and turning around the school then 8 was a mad 200m dash at flat out between me and the (swedish? M21) then to 9 and finish :D really good run about 1 minute lost over all most on exiting 9.

really pleased with my run felt quick and powerfull and considering training has been limited over the last 6ish weeks thats good! overall good result saturday and both sprints some smallish mistakes here and there but the mistakes are finally becoming less often and costing me as much and my control flow has seemed to improved alot along with navigation :D wish my JK day 2+3 had been better now like this weekend but its too late now for this year........

MDOC middle distance race in macc forest, been looking foward to it all week, was worth it!

had a really good run not many big mistakes for a change :D

1 was fine just long leg stright up hill, fine though ran most, 2 countoured round, 3 broken down in stages worked really well, 4 dash up hill and locate of the meadow, 5 stages again, 6 straight, 7 round fast way and in already seen it before, 8 tanked it, steady for 9 and 10 to get them right, 11 worst mistake dropped down too early plus 20 seconds, 12 fine, 13 stages, 14 stages along stream, 15 up wall and countour in, 16 contour and up, 17 straight up dieing! 18 down all the way in stages, 19 countur and along wall to last control

really good race beat carl by 30 seconds really happy with that and alex by 3 minutes i think, dunno what happened to adian though :/
